FORE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a Type III functionally integrated supporting organization of ORSANCO, working in direct partnership to expand public access to water quality science and stewardship across the Ohio River Basin. To ensure our learning communities experience unique programs that bridge education with environmental stewardship, we need all hands on deck!
Donations to FORE are used to maintain the general operating costs of our existing programs, including staffing, volunteer recruitment, educational materials, and equipment. They are also used to develop and implement engaging new programs.
Examples of Corporate & Community Sponsorship Opportunities:
- $100 supports FORE staff at community events and provides water quality education materials
- $200 sponsors a student’s participation in our Summer Conservation Course
- $300 replenishes chemicals for a school’s River Watchers citizen science water quality testing kit
- $1,500 supports RiverREACH floating classroom excursion on BB Riverboats for an entire class+lunch
- $2,500 equips a River Watcher’s classroom, including educator training & water quality kit for a year
- $5,000 sponsors Ohio River Sweep litter cleanup program w/ your logo on event t-shirt for a year
- $10,000 supports a local Life Below the Waterline mobile aquarium exhibit w/ name recognition
- $25,000 helps launch the ORSANCO-FORE Mobile Water Quality Lab
Checks can be mailed to ORSANCO in care of Foundation for Ohio River Education at 5735 Kellogg Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45230. FORE participates in workplace giving platforms like Benevity. Search for ‘Foundation for Ohio River Education’ in your employer’s giving portal to support Ohio River science programs.
